Cultivation over Completion

Aria expects you to train continuously until you are able to deploy as a performer. There are no promises of pretty certificates or elaborate courses. In the industry of drama, voice acting, radio broadcasting, and other forms of entertainment media, the only qualifications that matters are finding work in the field you trained for.

There will be no “two years then done” programs in Aria Crown Academy, nor will there be classes that guarantee placement after a few months. The truth is no one’s path is as straight forward as “complete a certificate and get a job” in entertainment. Expecting you to do your best after a set number of classes and throwing you out into the world isn’t the Aria way of doing things. We want you to succeed and we will cultivate your skills together until you find your success.

Fundamentals / Vocal Conditioning Training

“Are their roots strong?”

Fundamentals training comes with dense information at the beginning but gradually transitions into heavy conditioning. It is expected that training will become a grind, but only because Aria will not compromise foundational techniques. A performer is expected to maintain character for months if not decades at a time. So, this also means maintaining higher and higher skill levels along with maintaining their health.

Ensemble Training

“Can they coordinate in groups?”

This type of training is an analysis of group cohesion. In Aria, no stars are alone. Initiation, response, coherence, distortion, all of these are key to survive in a group setting. Should you find yourself on a podcast, live stage, or so on, it is important to maintain your composure and read your peers. Synchronization regardless of your familiarity with your fellow performers can make or break a production. So, let’s make sure you start and leave with good impressions.

Performance Training

“Can they communicate through expression?”

Performing is a language that must be easily deciphered by an audience.

  • Emotional readability

  • Symbolic clarity

  • Tension shaping

  • Atmospheric control

  • Perceptual transmission

  • Lingering impact

A trainee is expected to eventually perform all of those concepts in harmony. Without them, a performance doesn’t just lose meaning and impact, it loses communication.

Live Presence / Broadcasting Training

“Can they captivate a live audience?”

We live in exciting times where people make a career out of live streaming from their phone, commentary on game tournaments, and podcasts on all manner of subjects. Control, stability, recovery and so on will become crucial as you navigate a live performance. At Aria, you will learn to not just survive but win over live audiences.

Media Training

“What do people remember them as?”

Don’t get canceled! Media training at Aria isn’t just for staying alive on social media though, it’s also for sustaining your forward-facing image. You’ve seen it time and time again. Performers with lack of boundaries or just outright being taken advantage of. In Aria, trainees are expected confidently face interviews, retain boundaries, and cultivate mutual respect with their fanbase. Remember, this type of training isn’t just for real time audiences but also long-term brand management. Learn to connect with fans, navigate complicated social situations and properly coordinate events. As a performer, you are your own brand, and at Aria, you’ll learn to maintain your image.

Deployment Management

“Are they ready?”

Your trainers will have periodic meetings to assess not only your skill level but also to discuss your pipelines. Aria is not centered around completion but deployment. Everyone is unique, some people have skills better suited for certain things, others will have easier or harder times in particular roles. Either way, you are not expected to simply practice, but to be deployed in a way that’s sensible to your skills and goals.

  • Please check the rules of your relevant region. Drop-ins are acceptable but only if they are allowed for that specific class. Drop-in pricing will also vary on region.

  • “Deployment management” in this context means the process of planning and pushing a trainee through a career pipeline. This can come in a wide variety, including auditioning, working as a jr. trainer, specialization of select fields and so on.

  • ACA is focused on transferable skills. This is not just for voice acting, you will learn drama in general, radio broadcasting, brand management and more.

    We live in a modern world with performing arts careers ranging from podcasting, live streaming, virtual idol events, MoCap and so much more.

    Aria is here to prepare you for today and tomorrow. That’s what makes us different.

  • Aria Drama & Voice is not here to hand you pretty certificates. As you progress through your training, there will be meetings that discuss your future and what opportunities will be best suited for you.

    This also includes internal opportunities like teaching workshops or becoming a trainer.

    Aria focuses on capitalizing on forward momentum and actionable theories. We will teach you how to fine tune every single word in a script with Japanese theories or help you get a more abstract understanding with Lecoq’s methods and so much more.

Aria Crown Academy Regions

  • Not available. Aria however has workshops planned for that state.

  • This division and its first cohort are planned to be coordinated and released after the North Carolina division. See below to join our Discord server and join free Horizon Session classes and be part of the wider Aria trainee body! Although this division is meant for the US East Coast, you can still join if it works with your schedule.

  • Aria fully intends on releasing ACA in Europe online, but coordination and planning are still underway!

  • The 2nd largest population of Aria trainees outside of the USA is actually in the Philippines and the wider SEA and Pacific area. Efforts are underway to consolidate trainer strength in the area, but as of this time, ACA is not available in that region. Please contact us if you’re interested in becoming a trainer for this region.
